4 course lunch with friends at De Siechel wich is worth visiting if you want to try the Flemish Belgian gastronomy. The decor is stylish and the service is splendid.
Starter: sausage bread, endive soup & eel smothered in green sauce (a mixture of spinach, sorrel and herbs)
Signature side dish: Cheese Croquettes and Shrimp Croquettes served with a side of browned parsley
Poached thornback ray served with sliced apples, mousseline, vegetables and mustard salad dressing
Veal fillet served with mousseline and vegetables
Creme Brulee with strawberry puree and garnished with fresh berries
Chocolate bavarois with a splash of pineapple, berry and pistachio cream sauce
To finish our extensive lunch, a nice cup of coffee served with cookies (was so full that I didn't grab any!)
