Segafredo Zanetti Espresso Bar, Central

Did you know that espresso coffee was invented by the Italians?
Segafredo Zanetti is a leading espresso producer in Italy and throughout the world. The company has over 400 espresso bars in major cities of more than 50 countries. Segafredo Zanetti Espresso Bar Hong Kong serves an extensive array of coffees as well as gourmet foods based on traditional Italian recipes.

Segafredo's logo looks like a smiling cup, very cute :)

Cozy, comfortable & modern interior with huge windows overlooking the busy streets of Central. The staff was very accommodating and attentive, outstanding service! Thumbs up!

Segafredo lives by its slogan "Un Caffè Per Amico" which means a Coffee Shop For Friends.

Me and my friend ordered their set dinner. As starter, mixed salad leaves with extra virgin olive oil and 15-year old balsamic vinegar. The salad was very fresh and crispy~

Linguini with mixed mushrooms to die for! Cooked al dente, with lots of mushrooms, tossed in a thick & rich cream sauce! Just too good to be real!
Worth mentioning, you can have your pasta cooked to your liking: al dente, soft, firm, in cream/tomato or pesto sauce. Just cooked the way you like it ^_^

For good Italian espresso coffee, Segafredo is the place to be. The cappuccino was very foamy, smooth and fragrant.

The apple crumble tart was too sweet for me, like the crunchy crust though.

I will definitely come again for their heavenly linguini with mushrooms and espresso! ^_^

Pizza Express, Tsim Sha Tsui

Pizza Express in Tsim Sha Tsui

Garlic bread Quattro Fromaggi: despite the thick cheese layer on the top, the cheese lacked flavor and couldn't taste the garlic at all.

Fusilli pasta with wild Italian mushrooms in a creamy mushroom sauce was disappointing, firstly the pasta was very dry, there was not much sauce, secondly it was too salty.

The main ingredients of the Trifolata pizza are wild mushrooms, portobello and button mushrooms seasoned with truffle oil, rosemary and garlic. The pizza was amazingly good, very tasty and I found the thin crust very crunchy.

I like their "Banoffee Tortino" which is an Italian tart baked with banana, almonds, caramel and marsala wine sauce finished with mascarpone. Very luscious and not heavy at all because of the thin crust.

Ireland's Potato, Hui Lau Shan, Caffe Pascucci & Sun Shing Kee in Mongkok

Recently, very popular in HK: Ireland's Potato

Best-seller "Special Cheese Fries": huge fries with melted cheese. Delicious! One more cup please!

Best-seller no 2: Fries with honey mustard dressing, a little bit too sweet for my taste but still very good!

Coffee-break at newly opened Caffe Pascucci at Langham Place

They serve a wide selection of espresso and cappuccino coffee, just to name a few special blends: cappuccino with soy milk, yoghurt cappuccino, coffee soda,... The Paspuccio (gold espresso blended with pas-ciok, hot milk, hot foamed milk and caramel syrup) is one of their signature coffees. Thick layer of foam drizzled with lots of caramel, yummy...

The apple crumble tasted quite good though it was not warm enough and the crust lacked of crispness.

Dinner at Sun Shing Kee noodle shop. Tasty fish balls and squid balls with chewy fish noodle.

Quick stop at Hui Lau Shan for a cool & refreshing mango & mango juice with aloe jelly and...

bird's nest & honey jelly in watermelon juice.
