Colour Brown @ Sai Kung

Remember the playful doggies I mentioned in my previous post about Colour Brown? Don't they look cute and adorable? ^^ Meanwhile I've been to CB 4 times already not only to try their coffee but mainly to visit and play with Cheese and Go-On!
I just love them so much! *^__^*

Colour Brown Coffee @ Sai Kung

Though typhoon 8 was coming, it couldn't refrain me from visiting Colour Brown Coffee in Sai Kung! Yeah, I know I'm a crazy gal ^.^

To quench my thirst for java, I usually go to The Corridor in Causeway Bay and Coco Espresso in Sheung Wan. It takes me about an hour to get to both coffee shops which are located on Hong Kong Island. For a cup of real good coffee, I don't mind traveling far and wide!

After yesterday's visit to Colour Brown, I've finally found a nice & cosy café close to my place, just 20min away! ^_^

Colour Brown is tucked behind the famous "Seafood Street" at the waterfront. From the bus terminal just a few min walk.

It takes no sweat to find the café, you spot it right away because of the antique Chinese wooden carved door. When I asked Edwin (the owner of the shop) whether he named his shop "Colour Brown" because of the color of coffee bean, he said just partly as the name also refers to his favorite color brown and to the brown wooden door :)

Nice & cosy decor

New York Cheese Cake

The Honey Ginger Latte is definitely a must try, I would prefer drinking it when the weather is colder though. Worth mentioning, they use fresh raw honey which is supplied by his aunt who's a beekeeper! ^^ Honey is very nutritious for the skin and helps sore throat. Ginger's got numerous health benefits as well, it warms your lungs and stomach and cures cold, cough...

The latte isn't spicy at all because of the presence of honey giving this very nourishing coffee a sweetish and pleasant taste~

Edwin is just like the other coffee shop owners I know, nice and talkative! Plus he's got 2 cute doggies Cheese and Go-On who welcome you at the door :) On my next visit, I wanna play and take pictures with them!

Coffee break @ Pacific Coffee, Festival Walk

Caramel Latte accompanied with a piece of ultra rich blueberry cheesecake ^^ If you like blueberry cheesecake with a firmer texture then without a doubt you'll love this cake! If you prefer a light mousse-like texture I would say Cova's version is the best I've tried!

Caffe Habitu @ The Elements, Kowloon

Finally got a chance to taste Caffe Habitu's beverages and homemade cakes!

Truffles cake

Di Rose is a very light cheese cake with rose flavor

Original hot chocolate was very disappointing, I couldn't taste much chocolate flavor. Next visit let's give their coffee a try!

Coco Espresso, Sheung Wan

Mocha Cheesecake

Cappuccino

Tuna Garden Green Salad

Hazelnut Latte

I was in bad need of REAL & GOOD coffee so invited my cousin for coffee break @ Coco Espresso. Johnson recognized me from my last visit and I guess he remembered my name from the comments I left on his blog ^_^ When he noticed I was taking photos of the coffee and food again, he made a joke about not posting the pics on my blog if they aren't shot nicely.
Funny guy :)

My cousin ordered 2 coffee too, I recommended her to try cappuccino and caramel latte. The latter one has become her favorite!

Before we left, I wrote a note saying "Heerlijke koffie!!! Groetjes van W." and passed it to John for him to stick it onto his colorful message board which was already covered with lots of other people's comments written in Italian, English, Chinese,... and as of today one in Dutch too! ^^

Beet Greens @ Kam Tin Village, Yuen Long

Organic Cafe Beet Greens in Kam Tin

Purple Leaf Plum Juice
According to the friendly owner, purple leaf plum helps cleanse and detox your body~

Spaghetti with Grilled Salmon in Tomato Sauce and fresh chopped garlic~

The Mango Milkshake was really good! Love the thick, creamy & smooth texture! :]

Finger-licking good chicken wings marinated in herbs~

Both Organic Blueberry Cheesecake and Lychee Cheesecake were delightful! ^_^ Ultra-soft, smooth and light in texture and luscious in taste! Super delicious! :)

Fancy a cup of healthy bio coffee with wheatgrass?

Organic sweet corn niblets on the house! I've never thought raw sweet corn could taste so good, so sweet and so crunchy~ ^,^

Simplylife Bakery Cafe, Festival Walk

If you're looking for a cozy coffee shop in Festival Walk where you can sit down, relax and enjoy bossa nova and French jazz music while sipping your coffee, Simplylife Bakery Cafe is the right place to be. Personally I prefer sitting inside, less noisy, more privacy and I can enjoy the music :)

Toast with ham and melted cheese

While I had regular coffee, my friend tried Mocha which she didn't like because the chocolate flavor was too strong and covered the coffee taste.

To fulfill our craving of sweets, we tried the Berry Cheesecake, Lemon Tart with Egg White Cream and Black Forest. The latter tasted so so, too sweet and lacked moist. Lemon Tart had a nice sweetish sour lemon flavor, good option if you want something sweet and light. Among the three, Berry Cheesecake was the yummiest! Very smooth and fruity~

Coffee break @ Segafredo Zanetti Espresso Bar, Central

Since I haven't had my daily caffeine fix yet and none of us could resist a slice of delicious cake, we headed for Segafredo in Central after our heavy lunch at Kaya.

Personally I like their Apple Walnut Tart the most because of the nice apple flavor and crunchy base.

The Apple Coffee Round Cake was fluffy in texture and luscious in taste.

Go for the Blueberry Cheesecake if you love the strong cheese flavor, the cheesiest cake I've ever had! ^^

My life saver of the day: Espresso Macchiato!

Another coffeeholic. See how coffee can make people smile? :D

Cova @ Festival Walk

A while ago, a friend recommended me Cova's Blueberry Cheesecake and knowing my cousin's fondness for blueberry cheesecake, I invited her for high tea at Cova at Festival Walk.

Mocha

Latte

Indeed, the Blueberry Cheese cake was delightful! The best I've ever tried so far! Generous dollop of blueberries on top and the texture was so soft, smooth and creamyyyyy. Fruity yet not too sweet ^_^ I'm going back for sure!

However, my cousin didn't really like the texture which was too soft for her. She prefers the firmer ones from Pacific Coffee.

The Chestnut Cream was soft in texture but a bit too sweet for my liking.

Opera Patisserie, To Kwa Wan

If you miss those creamy and smooth birthday cakes topped with fresh fruits from Holland and Belgium, you must try Opera Patisserie's b-day cakes, the texture and taste are very similar to those we had back in BeNe (short for Belgium and Netherlands ^.^).

Besides freshly made cakes, they sell a wide range of pastries, cookies and bread as well. I told my mum (who's a sweet tooth too!) about this bakery 2 weeks ago and guess what? Last Tuesday, after her fitness classes in To Kwa Wan, she came back home with a Opera cake box stuffed with 6pcs of cakes!

Don't they look fresh and yummlicious? ^^

From left to right: Blueberry cheesecake, Tiger cheesecake, Tiramisu, New York cheesecake, Chestnut cake and Chocolate Marble cake which is my most favorite one (luscious, creamy, smooth and light :)

Tomorrow she's gonna hop in Opera again and this time she hopes she can buy some of their signature fresh egg rolls which were sold out last time.

Indulge yourselves with Zoë's delicate and delicious cakes! Zoë Cafe, Causeway Bay

I heard about Zoë on Susie Wong's tv show a while ago and finally got a chance to try their cakes with my cousin today. Zoë is renowned for its high quality cake and high price, about HK$30 per piece! For their cakes are very petit in size, not very sweet and light in texture, you can try various kinds. Me and my cousin ordered 6 different cakes to share.

Attractive, cute and mouth watering mini cakes...

...make it so hard to choose!

Banana Cream Pie: very smooth and creamy~

Double Decker: very soft, creamy and rich chocolate cake! Although it looks quite heavy but it isn't! On the contrary, the texture is very soft and light.

Zoë's signature cake "Zoë" is a hazelnut cream cake with a crunchy cake base. Absolutely irresistible! Creamy and crunchy at the same time! ^_^ My favorite!
*yum vote*

Blueberry Cheese: light and soft, rich in blueberries~

Blood Orange was very refreshing~

1459 is one of their signature cakes too which is in fact a mille-feuille with custard filling, the pastry is very crispy and puffy. It tasted amazingly good! My 2nd favorite! *yum vote*

My cousin had Green Tea Tropical, green tea with some fruity flavor and I had a Green Tea Float which is green tea mixed with fresh milk. Rich and flavorful~

The cafe is small without feeling too cramped and the interior is white and bright. Staff was friendly, polite and helpful.

For a craving of sweets,
Zoë is the place to be!
