Cute Fei Vegetarian, Tsim Sha Tsui

Today we went all the way to Tsim Sha Tsui for lunch as my parents wanted to try Cute Fei Vegetarian, a Buddhist vegetarian restaurant owned by former TVB actress So Hang Suen.

The interior is very simple, here and there accented with some colorful Buddhist wall decor and ornaments.

Sauteed lotus root slices and tofu seasoned with olive cabbage.

Usually I'm not fond of lotus root especially when added in Chinese soups, however when it's stir-fried and flavored with olive cabbage (甘藍菜) the sliced rotus root tasted surprisingly good! Olive cabbage is a great seasoning for congee too. Apart from the usual fermented tofu, I often add olive cabbage in my congee cos of the strong and salty taste.

Mak choi (Chinese lettuce) stir-fried with flavorful bean paste

Sweet & sour taro chunks: TASTY!

Cute Fei Vegetarian is definitely worth visiting if you're looking for healthy & delightful vegetarian dishes ^^
