Indulge yourselves with Zoë's delicate and delicious cakes! Zoë Cafe, Causeway Bay
I heard about Zoë on Susie Wong's tv show a while ago and finally got a chance to try their cakes with my cousin today. Zoë is renowned for its high quality cake and high price, about HK$30 per piece! For their cakes are very petit in size, not very sweet and light in texture, you can try various kinds. Me and my cousin ordered 6 different cakes to share.
Double Decker: very soft, creamy and rich chocolate cake! Although it looks quite heavy but it isn't! On the contrary, the texture is very soft and light.
Zoë's signature cake "Zoë" is a hazelnut cream cake with a crunchy cake base. Absolutely irresistible! Creamy and crunchy at the same time! ^_^ My favorite!

1459 is one of their signature cakes too which is in fact a mille-feuille with custard filling, the pastry is very crispy and puffy. It tasted amazingly good! My 2nd favorite! *yum vote*
My cousin had Green Tea Tropical, green tea with some fruity flavor and I had a Green Tea Float which is green tea mixed with fresh milk. Rich and flavorful~
The cafe is small without feeling too cramped and the interior is white and bright. Staff was friendly, polite and helpful.
For a craving of sweets, Zoë is the place to be!

I love supermarkets... - Yata in Shatin
Friends know I love hanging out in supermarkets. Whenever I go on vacation, the first place I visit is a nearby local supermarket/grocery store, it's also the place where I spend most of my time while I'm on holiday! (Apart from coffee shops ^_^) I just enjoy roaming supermarket aisles to check out the latest novelties and packaging designs of grocery items such as confectionery, snacks and dairy products. Japanese are very innovative and creative in designing attractive eye-catching food packaging. Besides grocery stores, I can spend hours in depachika in Tokyo (basement food hall's of department stores) that are devoted to the latest food trends.
Today I went to Yata in Shatin with my mum to get some frozen pandan buns and flower rolls for tomorrow's breakfast. I was strolling around the dairy section and bought 2 cute pots of puddings from the brand Morinaga:

Both are amazingly good! If you love milk, you've gotta try this milk pudding, the texture is silky smooth, delicate and the taste of milk is enormously strong. Yummy~~

Golden Siam Thai Cuisine, Ma On Shan
The ingredients of this popular Thai hot and sour soup "tom yum goong" are shrimps, mushrooms, fresh lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal, fish sauce, tamarind and hot chili. Too hot for my taste.
Golden Siam Thai Cuisine offer a wide selection of Thai desserts. Since we were already full we bought some to go as late evening snack (bad eating habit!)
Agar & pandan jelly is very similar to 大菜糕 (Chinese agar pudding) since its main ingredient is agar powder too but has a very strong fragrant pandan flavour.
