Kaya Korean Restaurant, Causeway Bay

A friend from Holland was in HK for a week and wanted to try some good Korean food for lunch so took him to Kaya in Causeway Bay.

As I haven't had Bibimbab for quite a long time I decided to order Dolsot Bibimbab (mixed rice in stone pot) with mixed vegetables and beef. It was delicious! :) The portion was huge though, it was absolutely impossible to finish the whole pot by myself! Luckily both my friend and my cousin helped me with the rest of the bibimbab ^.^

Stir-fried vermicelli with beef and vegetables

Everyone's favorite: the shredded raw beef!

Stewed beef short ribs

Every set lunch was served with soup, small plates of bean sprouts, kimchi and caramelized potato chunks.

Lunch @ Simplylife Bakery Cafe, Taikoo City Plaza

Simplylife Bakery again for let's see... the 8th, 9th time? Been there so many times that I've already lost count ^_^ This time I decided to try their salad with tomato, mozzarella cheese, grilled egg plant, basil and rocket leaves with balsamic dressing and olive oil for lunch. The portion looked small but was quite filling because of the mozzarella cheese. It was nice to have a healthy and light lunch for a change :)

The caffe latte was foamy and tasted not bad.

Barista Caffe, Wanchai

Since both me and my friend miss Coffee sir's Caramel Macchiato (actually they call it Caramel Latte on the menu) soooooo badly, we met up in Wanchai for lunch at Barista Caffe. The coffee shop was packed during lunch time! We were so lucky to find a table in the corner! Apparently a popular venue for OL's (Office Ladies) to have lunch there ^_^

Coffee sir was not there :/ A bit disappointed but anyhow we still wanted to try the set lunch and ordered some pasta.

Modern interior with comfortable seats

Creamy pumpkin soup as starter

Penne with vegetables in Portugese sauce

Angel Hair pasta with salmon in cream sauce was very nice although the portion was big for a little stomach gal like me.

Even though Coffee sir wasn't there, we still wanted to give it a shot and ordered our favorite Caramel Latte. The top layer had the same foamy, thick texture but unfortunately the caramel flavor was too strong and as a result it lacked coffee taste and was a bit too sweet for me and my friend.

Nevertheless Barista Caffe's Caramel Latte still tastes way better than the Starbucks/Pacific Coffee versions! ^_^

Chocolux Cafe, Admiralty

Tucked in the basement of Three Pacific Place, Chocolux Cafe serves rich chocolate based desserts (cakes, chocolates, brownies) and chocolate based beverages (coffee, cocoa, cocktails).

The 72% bittersweet hot cocoa was nice so were the Banana & Chocolate and Cinnamon Butter Crepes which were light and a bit crispy in texture.

Hui Lau Shan Healthy Dessert, Mongkok

After having shopped around for an aquarium for over 2hrs in Golden Fish Street (Tung Choi Street), we stopped by Hui Lau Shan for Bird's Nest & Honey Jelly in mango and coconut juice to quench our thirst and to cool off~
